Updates

  • Thank you for your report of 14 July about the variable speed limit signs along the M62 prior to junction 27. We appreciate the time you've taken to contact us about this.

We've investigated your enquiry, and can advise that we're aware of the problem you've reported. When signals are faulty, we receive an automatic report. We then schedule works to assess and remedy the fault present.

Due to the width of the gantry across the carriageway, these works require a full road closure. Due to the disruption this presents, we're limited in when we can implement this. We're currently in the process of identifying a suitable time for us to carry out repairs.

In addition, the speed limit which is visible applies across all lanes of the carriageway.

Thank you again for contacting us. If there is anything we can help you with, please email or telephone our Contact Centre. They’re available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email info@nationalhighways.co.uk. Alternatively, please visit the National Highways website at nationalhighways.co.uk.

    Kind regards, National Highways
