There was strips of wood fallen of a truck into the main A1

I was driving home around midnight last night, as I’ve turned right onto the A1 from the retail park there was a highways truck which had spilled their load of wooden slats all over the fast lane, I drove straight over them at speed as didn’t see them (lorry in the lane next to me obstructing view) in time and another car was behind me unable to do an emergency stop. This was very dangerous and may have caused my car damage.
