Traffic signals on the junction with the A245 and the A3

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 14:56, Fri 12 July 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6222830.

The phasing is incorrect and this is causing long tail backs from the roundabout right back down into Cobham.

Updates

  • Please change the sequence of lights at painshill and near the byfleet road, hilton junction to allow more cars to flow through the lights and be aligned with the A3.

  • The temporary lights are still out of sync and now causing long tailbacks onto the A3 and all surrounding areas. This is dangerous sitting on the A3 waiting for the lights to change with fast moving traffic.

  • The sequencing of lights has changed (in error???) to give priority to traffic in both directions on A245 thus causing long tailbacks on the Seven Hills Road as well as traffic turning from A245 onto Seven Hills Road. The queue from Weybridge this morning took around 45 minutes to get from top of Seven Hills Road to the junctions of A245.
