The drains and gully's are blocked both sides of the road which is the center of the bridge of Salters Brook Moss.
The rain runs down the sides of the road, mainly from the Barnsley side and pools in the center of the bridge, hence the drains must be blocked, as this is the low point of the road and all the silt and debris is washed down to block drains, at times you can only pass one vehicle at a time straddling the central camber of the road (please visit on a rainy day). More worried for the winter when water pools and ice forms, its a long way down to the stream below if you come off the road.
