Contradicting speed limit signs

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6216593.

The average speed limit signs (for roadworks) are being displayed at the same time as electronic National speed limit signs along the m42 roadworks sections since at least 8.30 11.07.24. Drivers are confused. There are mixed constant speeds but also the conditions are causing people to speed up and slam on breaks due to concerns of average speed. It is not clear at all what speed people should be driving on this stretch of road.
