Footbridge been up since March 11th 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6198570.

4 months on and we are still awaiting for it to be open . There is a lot of houses and families that work in Chichester and industrial estates , why does it take 4 months for it to open ??

  • Thank you for making your report and we appreciate any frustrations with the delay in opening the new footbridge built by the third party developers Cala Homes.

    We understand that it's anticipated that subject to final approval of compliance certification the footbridge should be opened by 22 July. As I’m sure you’ll appreciate we have to be confident that any structures built by others on our network meet current standards and more importantly considered safe.
