Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6198216.

What can be presumed as redundant road work equipment left in the lay-by in the westbound direction. Cones etc warning of closed lay-by? No upcoming work noted on one network.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment.

    We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we have identified redundant equipment, this will be removed.

    However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles.
