Obstruction to footpath
Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 17:49, Wednesday 3 July 2024
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6187889.
Every evening, a silver Ford Transit van (registration PX56 FWZ) parks partially blocking the footpath on Churchill Way North, Salisbury, right by the garden exit gate for 20 St Mark's Road. The owner positions the van so that its offside wheels are just off the kerb, posing a danger to passing traffic, especially larger and wider vehicles, which must travel wide to avoid it. I first noticed this issue several years ago and have observed it happening again in recent days.

Thank you for contacting National Highways.
We are sorry that your experience of our roads has been affected by other road users.
The behaviour of other drivers is outside of our control. We do provide Safety Advice on our website which does include a section on other drivers behaviours and how we try to improve these.
As this is an enforcement issue you would need to speak with the local police about your concerns.
Kind regards
National Highways.
