Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
Kind regards National Highways

Over 6 months have passed and still National Highways haven't sorted the problem and the speed camera van still sits in the layby having driven pastr and ignored the covered speed limit sign.
Both National Highways and the Safer Roads team continue to preach their safety awareness at me.

It's a little ironic that a speed camera sign is attached to the back of the totally obscured 30 mph sign

The 30 mph sign is still completely obscured after 18 months. Ironically there is a speed camera warning sign attached to the same post and the speed camera van driver still doesn't check all signs are clear before setting up in the layby despite the assurances of the Safer Roads Team that it is standard practice for the drivers to do so.

18 months have now passed and the 30 mph speed limit sign is still obscured.
I see Highways England inspectors drive past this sign on a regular basis. It is very disappointing that the general public has to point out basic problems.
