Large patches of road surface missing

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6173660.

Several large and small patches of road surface are missing. There is a large depth to the holes this creates on a busy high speed road. Cars are swerving dangerously to avoid these (at high speed). These patches have been present and getting worse for approximately 2 months.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A14 at Ellington. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
