Traffic light mistiming signal

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 15:23, Sunday 30 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6173056.

As you come off the M6 at Jct23 (travelling from the south) you stop at the traffic lights at the botton of the slip road. When these traffic lights change to green you then move to the next set of lights. The first light on the left (immediately before the A49 turning to newton-le-willows is not in sync with the other lights, that is the problem light is on red whilst the other one (opposite) is on green. Consequently traffic which is going to Newton le willows stops at a red light when there in no need to while the others are on green. This is dangerous as it stops traffic going straight ahead towards st helens for which those lights are on green.
