Growth/ trees blocking view

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 17:00, Sat 29 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6170883.

The bushes and trees obstruct the view if you have come up the A14 eastbound sliproad to the A137 roundabout at the top of the roundabout. When trying to pull out onto the roundabout (especially when in the right lane attempting to turn right) you cannot see what traffic is approaching from the right on the A137 (traffic on the A137 heading towards Ipswich). As you pull out the traffic suddenly appears and is right on top of you but by then its too late as you have already committed. Rather dangerous.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the overgrown vegetation on the slip road of the A14 at Junction 56. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
