Advertising bill board on roundabout outside verge

Reported via mobile in the Flyposting (NH) category anonymously at 16:46, Tuesday 25 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6153754.

A large election billboard has been erected on the verge of the new roundabout on the A5 (junction with Whittlebury Road and by by-pass road). The billboard is some 15 feet long by 6 feet high in size with a photo of the candidate (these dimensions are very approximate as I was driving and already distracted by this billboard - and I wanted to drive safely). I think it is strapped or tied to the highway boundary fence - and I am fairly sure that it is on the highway side of the fence. As you approach the roundabout from Towcester, the candidate staring at you from across the roundabout is disconcerting and a distraction.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about flyposting.

We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. If it is, we will then either contact the company concerned and ask them to remove their material from our property or remove this ourselves.

    Kind regards
