Sign dirty

Reported via mobile in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 22:09, Mon 24 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6149616.

The caution pedestrian crossing sign and left hand turn sign for the Whistley Hill junction on the southbound A38 are both dirty. This is a safety issue as southbound drivers are not aware that pedestrians could be crossing (which they do) or that there is an exit that vehicles are preparing to take or enter the carriage way from. The lettering is also incomplete on the pedestrian sign.

  • Thank you for making your report. We've asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they'll arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
