Vegetation growth blocking junction

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 09:18, Sunday 23 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6141934.

With the recent wet and now warm weather the vegetation has grown very quickly blocking the view onto the carriageway across the fast lane heading into Whitfield, with Silverstone approaching this stretch of the A43 will become alot busier during this period.

Many thanks for addressing this last year during the summer months, it does make a huge difference when it’s been cut.

  • The vegetation has still not been cut and is still obscuring the view as you try to cross the busy A43. This will end with an accident if the grass and vegetation is not kept short for quite a distance so that we can see fast cars approaching.

  • As I understand it local residents have now strimmed the grass themselves due to the lack of performance of the highway authority!
