Yellow no parking lines

Reported via mobile in the Cat Eyes/ Reflectors (NH) category by Kathleen King at 16:35, Sat 22 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6140469.

Yesterday Friday 21 June yellow no parking lines were painted at the top of Merchant Way Copmanthorpe. No cones or signage were present to identify that hot plastic was used. I travel on a mobility scooter taking my dog out and can only use drop kerbs to cross roads. My dog stepped onto one of these lines and I have never heard her squeal so load and for so long My dog had hot yellow plastic stuck to her feet and burnt her pads badly especially on one of her paws. The vet agreed to see her immediately as my dog could not walk. This cost me £91 vet fees and will be ongoing. I have the receipt for this but obviously more to come. The vet at the practice Greens Lane Acomb took photographs of her feet who will send if you should need to see these. I really feel that some sort of warning should be put out to warn others of this work being carried out to protect other dog owners or worse still a child. I consider my vet bills should at least be compensated
