Large ridge in road surface across both lanes

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category by Graham Parker at 13:28, Saturday 22 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6140375.

As you bear off the bottom of the M11 onto the A406 towards A12, where the old speed camera was situated, the road surface is raised like a small speed hump right across both lanes. I drive a small smart car and there is little chance to slow down as the traffic is fast moving and hitting this ridge is very severe and damaging to my suspension. I drive this route regularly . There is no reason for this ridge to be there.

  • The road surface at this point is still the same. It's on a fast road and I am unable to stop safely to take pictures.
