Huge potholes and road breaking up

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6090504.

The road is breaking up in a serious manner on the M60Northbound, heading towards Junction 19. The worst is in the middle lane where huge chunks of the road surface have come away. It's dangerous in the car and potentially lethal on a Motorbike. This has been getting gradually worse over many months. Even if you can't entirely resurface the road ( which is what it needs ) this urgently needs rectifying. Aren't you supposed to regularly inspect the surface?

    We’re delivering repairs to sections of the carriageways here and have a major resurfacing scheme scheduled for September 2024.

    In the meantime, we will monitor the route to ensure the road remains safe. Any hazardous defects will be repaired.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
