In two places at this junction, the pedestrian crossing display panel is broken

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 18:44, Monday 10 June 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6089785.

Crossing from the lorry park towards french connection and also crossing from McDonalds to Finberry, the display panel for pedestrians is not working, so you cannot tell when it is safe to cross. This is a serious issue as the road is very fast, with high levels of HGV traffic, meaning that pedestrians are at risk. School children have to use the route to travel to school.

  • Thank you for making your report. This asset is part of a construction scheme that has yet to be handed back to us for maintenance. We've contacted the relevant organisation to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, then they'll arrange for this to happen.

Although our partners will always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as they might try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities.
