Light very bright

Good afternoon, The street light at the junction of A27 and A286 (Southbound) has been replaced, before this light was not working, but when it was it had a shield in place. currently the light is back on but the light is very bright. Myself and my husband live at 51 Stockbridge Road. the light is directly opposite our bedroom window and it lights up the whole room, as well as our hall way and sitting room, would it be possible to get some sort of shield installed on it, as to not shine directly into the house?
