Worcestershire County Council have been notified by a member of the public that there is a section of railing missing, looks as if deliberately cut - currently has a barrier strapped to it

I uinderstand that the barrier was cut by emergency services to facilitate removal of a potential suicide jumper so the hole was adult size. The temporary barrier which was only fixed with wire plastic ties has been removed and there is now a hole in the barrier. Given that any further reports of someone potentially jumping from the bridge will lead to closing of the Motorway, it would seem essential to fix the hole in a more substantial way. It is a major safety hazard for motorway users
