Central reservation barriers

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 09:28, Sun 26 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6021202.

Seen on westbound carriageway whilst queuing into Lyon’s Farm junction. Posts supporting ‘Armco’ barrier severely corroded at ground level. Western portion ie nearer B&Q, not too bad - Road grit and plastic covers may be hiding the issue. However, 2/3 way between Busticle Lane and Sompting Lane (Lyon’s Farm / B&Q), full corrosion is visible over ~10% of the section (ie daylight!) on some posts. Sorry - photo not taken for road safety.
