Hi, I raised a complaint about the fact the grass had been cut here but not litter picked which seemed very strange.....you replied to say it was done to help driver sightlines but you don't pick it and you'll be closing the road AGAIN in July to litter pick and grass cut.
Firstly....why do drivers need to see through teh central reservation to help them travel on the motorway? Makes no sense. Secondly, it still makes no sense why you would close a lane, cut the grass, not pick it with litter, but say you will close it AGAIN at twice the cost in two months and litter pick it.
I get sight lines at signs and junctions etc - but central reservations - I am not going to cross it? Makes no sense but still no sense why you close and not litter pick but agree to close again in two months.
What a waste of money surely?

Thank you for contacting National Highways about litter and grass cutting.
Site line cuts and litter picking were carried out at the same time in April at junction 61 interchange and also between junction 61 and 62. Junction 60 to 61 will have sight lines cut and litter picked in July as you mentioned
Site lines are cut for improved visibility as mentioned previously. We would be happy to discuss any queries you have over the phone if you would like to provide some suitable dates and times for us to call.
