Damaged Pavement Prohibits Use

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 20:11, Fri 24 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6017922.

On the A40 between the 2 entrances to Bulley Lane (The one by Churcham School & further down opposite Chapel Lane) The pavement is not passable by prams/pushchairs/wheelchairs. The hedges are overgrown, the nettles are knee high and the state of the tarmac on the pavements is filled with holes or raised vegetation growing through. To the point that people in the area with newborn babies / young children who attend the school and those from the local care centres who use walking aids and wheel chairs can not get access up the pavements. This is causing people to step out onto a busy A road with a 50mph speed limit and lorries passing them to walk babies and elderly up the side of the road where the tarmac is smoother.
