Traffic lights on slip road still not working

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6004644.

Traffic lights on J7 slip road are still not working causing long delays for southbound traffic, problem was reported and case closed why is case closed if problem not resolved?

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the traffic lights on the A1(M) at junction 7. We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating a solution to the problem. Unfortunately the technology is now obsolete and replacement parts are not available to furnish a repair. The technology team are looking at alternatives to resolve this issue.

    Please Note: Fix-my-Street is purely a reporting tool and automatically closes the case when it is referred internally to another department, this does not mean that it is no longer active.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
