Overgrowth of grass/vegetation on east side of A35, obscuring view of oncoming traffic when exiting Hollow Way. Noticed over past week.
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Anne Rickard at 04:38, Wednesday 22 May 2024
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6004496.
The grass has grown so high it is difficult to see oncoming traffic approaching from the north, making it difficult to make a safe exit out of Hollow Way.

Sorry to have to come back on this. My previous report was to point out that the sight-line out of Hollow Way (as well as Maple Gardens, which had been reported by someone else) was also obscured by overgrown grass, making it impossible to see oncoming traffic. I was pleased to know it was scheduled to be attended to so quickly. However, whilst I appreciate that something has been attempted, it really isn't sufficient and has made almost no difference to one's sightline as such a short stretch has been cut. One needs to see much further along the road for it to be safe to emerge from either Maple Gardens or Hollow Way. It has been trimmed (very untidily) but only for a few yards. I hope it has been realised that one is "sitting" in a car, and therefore half the height of someone standing up. We would all appreciate another visit and for it to be done with care and attention.
