Illegal overnight parking of HGVs blocking footpath

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 23:52, Wednesday 15 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5979907.

HGVs are with increasing regularity illegally parking across the footpath on Bletchingley Road (M23) flyover bridge, often overnight, completely blocking access for pedestrians. This also poses a risk for passing vehicles as the parked vehicles entrench onto the road, presenting a collision risk. Measures need to be taken to prevent this from happening in the future. The footpath should not be treated as a lorry park.
