Overflowing drain flooding road

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 16:32, Wednesday 15 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5978303.

The ditch has been dug but it simply cannot handle the volume of water and it is pouring out into the road and then sitting on the carriageway and causing aquaplaning. The ditch water needs to be directed under the road and not onto it. Every time we have heavy rain it’s extremely dangerous. Aquaplaning risk and splash from opposite carriageway makes the windscreen completely hindered.
