Possible raised metalwork in road

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 11:13, Wednesday 15 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5976290.

Heading south on the A31 around 10:00 on Thursday 9th May. We drove over a cats-eye and heard a loud "pop" and then our front nearside tyre went flat. We managed to get to the nearby Bathwick Tyres workshop and were told the tyre was irreparably damaged. Whatever we hit on the road, was not "debris", the road condition was clear and dry. The only thing we drove over was one of the cats-eyes. We recommend that you have the location inspected.
