Plastic tree protectors

Reported via mobile in the Fallen/ Dead Tree (NH) category anonymously at 00:26, Wed 15 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5974759.

As per the guidelines plastic tree protectors should be removed after a maximum of 10 years. You placed hundreds of these around newly planted trees in 2009 when the flyover was built. 15 years have now past and these plastic tree protectors, as expected, haven't been collected and are now not only hindering vegetation growth, but damaging the environment. National Highways your disregard for the environment is shocking. You should have arranged for these to be removed years ago. Instead you continue to pollute the environment and show a complete disregard for wildlife. During the winter months, can you please arrange for all these hundreds of plastic tree protectors to be removed. It is long overdue.
