New Roundabout quality issues

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 21:12, Tuesday 14 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5974411.

I am a resident (long suffering) for the past 5 years whilst the contractor for Permission Homes contracts a relief road. The quality is shocking - has an engineer quality checked their work??? It is unfinished, poor quality and dangerous. Wooden garden fencing has been put up and falls down which separates vehicles from a large drainage pond. There is no prevention stopping a vehicle entering the water. The street lights don’t work, the drainage is poor, there’s an unfinished lay-by/ area covered in mud that washes onto the road. I want to know what is being done to force the contractor to improve the work as before long it will become Highways responsibility and cost when the contractor is to blame. I am happy to meet or speak with someone about this this - not just moan about it but to be constructive. I look forward to hearing from someone and I can explain more. Best regards
