Multiple potholes

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 21:01, Tuesday 14 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5974391.

There are many potholes opening up from Milton Keynes to Old Stratford and some quite deep meaning ones car takes a big impact and the road is in need of resurfacing not bodging like what’s happened north of the Super Sausage in Pottersbury (A5). The patches applied a year ago are ok but the road that wasn’t repaired is starting to fail. This is a major trunk road and needs some proper resurfacing please. Can someone let me know what the plan is - it’s a daily frustration. I know everyone is complaining but this does need some swift action please.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A5. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways
