Broken and dangerous damaged road surface in the fast lane

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 07:39, Monday 13 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5964436.

On the approach to J36 NB there is about a half mile stretch where the surface in the second and third lanes has severely broken up and is getting worse as the weeks go by. Traffic is hitting these patches in which the sub-surface is exposed at 70mph which is dangerous for cars and vans but potentially lethal for motorcycles.

With the bikers travelling home from the TT races in a couple of weeks and that Dave Myers (Dave Day) London to Barrow event taking place on the 8th June there will be thousands of bikers using this section.

Needs urgent attentions before there is an accident.

Thanks.
