Vegetation obscuring the view

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5960636.

Travelling eastbound on the A27 and turning right at the Yapton junction (B2132) the vegetation on the central reservation is massively overgrown which totally obscures the view of approaching vehicles on the westbound carriageway. This is incredibly dangerous. I see you have been aware of the problem for several days but have done nothing about it. This junction is now extremely dangerous and unless the central reservation is mown urgently then a serious collision will occur. Considering the speed of approaching vehicles, this is quite likely to prove fatal.

  • Thank you for making your report about the length of the vegetation at the Yapton Lane crossover.

    We're currently planning in vegetation cuts to all the crossovers along the A27 and this location is included for maintenance by our service partners within 28 days subject to suitable traffic management.

    In the meantime, our safety inspection team will monitor the location.
