Trench across the width of the junction to the on ramp

There are several areas of pot holes near this location, main issue is the gull width trench across the start of the slip road to the A421, this is approx 200 mm wide and is a serious hazard to cycles , scooters and motorcycles as there is no area to avoid it.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A421 slip road at junction 13 of the M1. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
