Pothole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5948679.
There is a large pothole on the right side of the southbound carriageway about 40m after the entrance to the Plumb Park Offices.

Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

This pothole is still there after several weeks. Hitting it can cause accidents by causing motorcyclists to crash or any driver of any vehicle to be knocked off line, potentially into opposing traffic. Also of course hitting it must cause damage to wheels, tyres, suspensions etc which could also affect how the vehicle operates and road safety.

11 weeks on and the pothole is still here and has been totally ignored by HA. It is a big pothole now and needs to be fixed and quickly as 11 weeks is ample time to fill in this hole.
