Road flooding under bridge

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 09:55, Tuesday 7 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5939795.

The road under the A12 bridge on Turkey Cock Lane CO3 8ND now always floods heavily with a heavy downpour (it is currently flooded) - this never use to happen and has only begun since the works on the A12 so presumably drains are blocked with roadwork material etc.

When this floods bikes cannot pass (which is how I take my son to school) and it gets deep enough that some cars turn around while others wait to drive through the middle.

Furthermore there has been what looks like a large orange power cable (it may not be) hanging under one side of the bridge. This does not seem safe.
