Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5936952.

A1 dual carriageway northbound at Alnwick. Underneath The bridge where the 1068 crosses. Left hand carriageway. Dead deer been there 10days.

  • Thank you for your email of 6 May 2024 about a dead deer on the A1 northbound at Alnwick. We understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to contact us about this.

    We've checked and can confirm this is off our patrolled network, however a log has been created for our contractors. If required, they will remove it but due to the length of time it has been there and us not having any further reports of an obstruction in the carriageway, it’ll likely be left for nature to take its course which is standard practice for incidents like this.
