Piles of grit as high as the kerbs

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 18:53, Sun 5 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5935535.

The entire junction is a disgrace, and dangerous. Piles of grit and debris are littered everywhere

Updates

  • Thank you for your report. Our team attended this location on 7 April 2024 as part of our weekly safety inspection. We appreciate the road surface at this junction is currently uneven and a little bumpy due to previous remedial work to fill potholes. We can confirm there are no safety critical pothole defects identified at the Lydden junction currently, and we’re aware that the central white lining is missing in parts where previous potholes have been filled.

Whilst we can’t confirm a time frame currently, we can confirm that this location has been put forward for a future resurfacing scheme where the white lining will be renewed and the grit by the kerbs will also be removed.

    Kind Regards

    National Highways
