Multiple potholes

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 17:28, Sat 4 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5932996.

Multiple sharp-edged potholes across carriageway, making it difficult, and dangerous, to avoid them, given the density of traffic at this junction. Vehicle suspension and wheels risk damage, high risk of vehicle collisions as drivers take late avoidance action. These potholes have been present, and growing in size and number for months.

Updates

  • I’d like to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We really appreciate the information and feedback we receive, and value the perspective you bring as someone who uses our network. I’m pleased to report that we do have plans to address this issue in the coming year. An overlay scheme will be replacing the existing concrete with tarmac to address the driving experience and the difficulty with visibility due to the glare from the sun. For further information I’ve included a link to our webpage where all of our updates can be found https://nationalhighways.co.uk/ our-roads/ south-east/ m27-junction-5-to-7-concrete-overlay/
