Raised ridge across the road just before slip road to Avers Roundabout travelling Eastwards. Possibly something linked to strip across road usually covered with rubber but it looked like metal and caught my front offside tyre causing a serious puncture.

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 16:39, Sat 4 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5932875.

The raised strip across the road looked metallic. When I had got the wheel changed and returned home from Redruth travelling from the Avers Roundabout Westward onto the A 30 there was a corresponding but rubberised strip across the road just as I joined the A 30 from the slip road, but this caused no problem. I have a feeling these strips are to do with traffic counting? It is likely I will need at least a new tyre and possibly a new wheel but I cannot get this fixed until after the bank holiday weekend.
