A27 Lancing eastbound verge overgrown

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 18:53, Thu 2 May 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5927240.

The verge on eastbound A27 just after Busticle Lane traffic lights is so overgrown it’s almost impossible to see oncoming traffic when trying to exit my driveway. This was reported on 9th April but it has still not been cut even though you agreed the visibility was restricted and it would be cut within 10 days, since then the verge has grown even more so it is now extremely urgent .

  • Thank you for your further report regarding the grass that's causing visibility issues, please be assured we understand your continued concerns which have been passed to our service delivery team responsible for vegetation maintenance.

This location is very difficult to cut safely due to the retaining wall, pedestrian guard rail and steep banks which creates the requirement for additional traffic management. Our service partners are working on this and we hope to attend within the next 10 days.

    Kind regards
