Dead cat on the exit of the tunnel

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5918829.

There's a dead cat on the exit of southwick runner on the right hand side, eastbound, it has been there a while now, but obviously this is more than likely someones pet.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about a dead cat on our network by the Southwick Tunnel.

    Safety is our highest priority and any animals on the carriage way that pose a risk to vehicles and their occupants will be removed as quickly and safely as possible.

    Household pets, such as a dogs and cats, will be retrieved, and we endeavour to reunite pets with their owners if they can be identified through microchips or other identification.

    Our local safety inspector will attend the location to review and arrange removal as required.
