No clear up after resurfacing

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 03:56, Fri 26 April 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5900523.

The entire resurfaced stretch of the A27 needs road sweepers sent down it. Large lumps of stone are flicking up damaging cars and the bodge of a repair that’s been done won’t last 5 mins as the same rocks have already started ripping up the new tarmac.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report about the ongoing resurfacing works.

We're due to return in May to complete the unfinished scheme at which time a full sweep be carried out of the areas resurfaced, especially where we’ve laid High Friction Surfacing as these are the areas most prone to loose stone.

Once the scheme is complete, we carry out a full inspection of the works to identify defects / surface failures and address where necessary.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
