Over 1m long and 1m wide - missing surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5864185.

The surface is missing in two sections within the centre of the road and the fast lane. These are over a metre in width and length. Significant road surface missing - 50mm depth approx - this has been reported for months now and all that is said that someone will inspect but no progress - dangerous in fast lane and will cause issues with vehicles

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A14 at Spaldwick. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    Work is being planned to address this issue.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
