Fence down allowing access to M5 for dogs and kids

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 08:35, Wednesday 17 April 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5863404.

In the last windy storm, the fence has blown Down on the footpath that goes from Muxbeare Lane to Tiverton parkway station. Reported to Devon County council who advise to report to you. On a recent dog walk I witnessed another dog owner narrowly avoiding her dog running into the motorway, as the motorway crash barrier also ends here. M5 A.233.0 sign can be seen where the issue is. A little further down the path, at the end of the first field, another section of fence is also leaning and I suspect will also fall in another windy storm. The holiday traffic will soon be heavy and the last thing we need is a stray dog on the M5!
