Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category by gavin springett at 13:21, Thu 11 April 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5839172.

There are regular hour long queues to travel between gordons roundabout and the M3. This problem has occurred since the roundabout was retarmacked. Please look at this urgently as it is severally reducing quality of life for local residents. This was meant to be rectified yesterday, but has not been fixed, 50min delays daily at 7am on this junction, its beyond a joke now

  • Thank you for submitting this report

I apologise for the delays you are experiencing and thank you for your patience while we resolve this issue. We appreciate our customer’s feedback and insight. We’re responsible for the maintenance of these traffic lights and we’re aware of the delays that have been experienced at this junction. This roundabout was recently resurfaced, and the new traffic signal detector loops had not yet been commissioned, so the controller wasn’t able to adapt the timing to traffic flow. I’m happy to report that the new traffic signal detector loops have been installed, and the site will now run as normal so you shouldn’t experience delays here any longer. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Kind regards National Highways
