Overhanging and broken branches to tree(s) along Ringwood Road: Service Road

Good Morning

I note my previous report was closed, please see the report from February 2024 below, to mote I was hit by a falling branch. Thefe are a number of trees which are overgrown along the road , debris snd branches fall very close to parked cars. Can you please advise on outcome from previous report as note it has been closed. Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5622559 The tree branches are overhanging and dangerous adjacent side of road to number Ringwood Road service road. I was hit on the back by a falling large branch from the tree getting into my car. There are loose branches visible. Debris has been found by cars parked on the road. There is also a further overhanging tree nearby. Bus also come down Ringwood Road. Debris noted this year, enquiry made to Dorset Council and have been awaiting a response who advise belong to National Highways

  • Thank you for your report concerning overgrown vegetation. We’re so sorry to hear about the falling branch.

    We’ve carried out an inspection of the trees but currently this isn’t causing any safety concerns and work isn’t required. Unless the branches overhang the pedestrian accesses by more than 2.4m we will not prune them. You can read more about our trees policy on our website.
