Degraded, uneven road surface at the layby, A34 Northbound.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5815284.
Starting approx. 200m before the layby going north, the road surface is rapidly breaking up. There are defects approaching the layby itself which is badly torn up at the entrance to, and exit from, the layby itself.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

Thank you for making your report. I wanted to inform you that we have inlay works that are scheduled to commence tonight, 8th April 2024, on the southbound carriageway stretching from Three Maids Interchange to Winnall Roundabout. Once this phase is completed, the focus will shift to the northbound carriageways, covering the stretch from Winnall Roundabout to Three Maids Interchange .
Rest assured, our Inspection team will be diligently monitoring the area for any potholes and ensuring they are promptly filled if necessary.
