Excessive amounts of litter, debris and dead animals along the stretch of A120 from the M11 roundabout to the B1256 junction at Dunmow particularly travelling eastbound but loads of litter evident on both sides of carriageway. This problem has been evident for six months or more.
I reported this issue last week ref 5771772 and your reply denied responsibility for the A120. The local authority is Essex County Council and their site states the following: We are not responsible for the followinging roads:
A12, A120 between the M11 junction and Parkeston roundabout in Harwich, M11 and M25 - these are the responsibility of National Highways, please call [phone removed] or email [email removed]
You have denied responsibility .......... !!!!!!

Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the litter issue on the A120.
The A120 is a National Highways road and road surface maintenance and signage are maintained by us, however responsibility for litter collection on all A roads (non motorway) is the responsibility of the Local Authority.
Thank you for taking the time to raise this issue with us.
Kind regards
National Highways
